Thank you for visiting.

This site is a written account of my personal experience with Autism, and the Autism Spectrum, from the perspective of a healthcare provider venturing into new territory. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know until I realized I didn’t know it.

It has occurred to me that, much like myself, most of the healthcare professionals I’ve met seem to know very little about ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I am hopeful that I can help change that. My education in this area has been quite a journey so far, and I have decided to share that journey here.

Please keep in mind that this site is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. It is a place where I will attempt to share the lessons I have learned from the perspective of someone who works as a professional caregiver, and is not a family member – because the relationships are different. With that said, this site is not restricted to members of the healthcare community, all are welcome to contribute beneficial information. The goal here is to work through the issues that perplex us, and figure out how to deliver the best care possible to our clients/patients. Feel free to leave comments on the site or contact me directly.

Now, if this little greeting hasn’t made you run for the hills, let’s get started. You can find my most recent posts filed under Lessons Learned. The posts are in no particular order, so feel free to click whatever interests you. And, by the way, APA and MLA have left the building.

Thanks for stopping by!
