My inspiration for writing on this site has returned!

And by inspiration I am, of course, referring to Lia. After spending many weeks in the hospital on life support and in a medically induced coma, she is back. It is an answer to prayer, and thank you all for praying with us.

Although her recovery is not yet complete, she has made amazing progress. We are deep in the process of getting everybody adjusted to her new accessories and medical needs. It is very much like bringing a new baby home for the first time, with the added bonus of having known her in her prior life.

While she was hospitalized, there were a lot of lessons on hope, and perseverance, and overcoming challenges, and yes, even faith, for the family and for the various medical teams who cared for her. She’s a tough little cookie and she fought hard to win the battle she was in – the battle for her life.

We have quite a journey ahead of us, but it is so good to have her home.
